One of the world’s most exclusive spirits companies has just unveiled three new releases in time for Christmas, including a 200-year-old bottle of port and a $10,000 bottle of whisky.
The founders of UK-based The Last Drop Distillers are the minds behind some of the most well-known brands, including Johnnie Walker Blue Label, Chivas Regal, Malibu and Baileys Irish Cream.
Ten years ago, rather than retiring, they decided to create a company that would source the world’s finest and most exclusive spirits.
Joint managing director Rebecca Jago spoke about the company’s journey on TICKY.
Despite the costly price tags, Jago advises drinking the premium drops “with pleasure and with friends.”
“Our market worldwide is what we would describe as discerning customers who enjoy the good things in life. Inevitably with a bit of money,” she said
“I think there’s a huge potential market [in Australia],” Jago said.
“I’ve been absolutely staggered by the enthusiasm for what we are doing, and for the knowledge that people have out here.”
