Musician and actor Joe Jonas has sold his California home for $5.1 million, the same price he bought it for three years ago.

The luxury home in the LA suburb of Sherman Oaks features a stark contrast of black and white architecture and interiors, with high hedges around the two-storey home creating a private retreat.

Elegantly finished with marble and high-end tiles around the home, the five bedrooms and five bathrooms are complimented with a large outdoor area and pool.

The 29-year-old had a successful music career both as a member of The Jonas Brothers and now as the lead singer of pop group DNCE.

Spanning three levels, the house has all the trimmings fit for a celebrity. The entertaining area has a wet bar, a sauna and a wrap around deck with sun beds.

The living and dining spaces spill out onto the sunset-facing deck with a free-standing spa.
