Billionaire Justin Hemmes appears to be living the bachelor life once more, and he’s left a generous departing gift in his wake.
The hospitality mogul behind some of Sydney’s most iconic venues has snapped up a prestigious $7.5 million home in affluent Dover Heights in the city’s eastern suburbs – only he won’t be living in it.
Rumour has it that the Merivale Group boss purchased the property for his ex-partner and model Kate Fowler, who is also the mother of his two children.

The couple had reportedly been living together in their Vaucluse home for several months following their separation late last year.
The new purchase is expected to see the couple part ways.
While Hemmes is prominent for running the family’s pub empire, much of his fortune can be attributed to his extensive list of properties.
Last month, those properties saw Hemmes finally crack the $1 billion club for the first time and landed him a spot as the 89th richest Australian, according to The Australian’s inaugural edition of The List.
The latest purchase is just one of around 90 properties listed in his portfolio, which includes some of Sydney’s most well-known bars and hotels.
The four-bedroom property sits above a cliff top in Dover Heights, with spectacular ocean views across Bondi and the city skyline.
Sitting on a 550-square meter block of land, Fowler will get to enjoy a heated pool, a dining terrace and landscaped gardens.
