In a country obsessed with waterfront views, the thought of paying US $18 million ($25.5 million) for a property nowhere near a beach doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.
Even less so when you consider that is the price tag is for a bomb shelter eight metres underground.
The bizarre property, built in the 1970s in the Las Vegas desert, has to be seen to be believed.
“It’s like walking through Disneyland,” the property’s real estate agent says.
Resplendent with the original furnishings of the era, there’s plenty of pink carpet and even chandeliers hanging over the bathtub.
What’s more is the bunker comes with a full bar, swimming pool, hot tub, 4-hole putting green, guest house, and dance floor.
Cognisant of moving pains, all the furniture unsurprisingly comes with the property for the discerning doomsday prepper.
